Khai, is a teenager, was having fun in the sea with some friends. He was a good swimmer but was inclined to show off his skills. They were in chest-deep water but Khai ventured out into deeper water to show his friends how well he could swim.
For a while Khai swam merrily about. Suddenly he was seized by cramps in his legs. He could not swim any longer. In desperation he shouted for help and tried to stay afloat with his hands. He was in real danger of drowning.
His friends were not good swimmers and thus could not help. Fortunately a man on the seashore heard his cries. Immediately the man swam out and pulled Khai to shore.
Khai thanked the man for saving his life. From then on he never showed off again in the sea .
